Product description

Item Package Quantity:4

You are looking at a Pro-tek SWING ARM BUDDY repair kit that replaces a chain adjuster bolt after it seizes or breaks off in the swing arm of most off road motorcycles.

During normal cleaning and/or operating in moist environments, water enters and migrates to the rear of the swing arm causing the bolt to rust and seize. Consequently, at the next chain adjustment interval, the bolt can break off in the swing arm. This is becoming an increasingly common problem with today's motocross, street and enduro bikes.

Rather than removing the swing arm from the bike, the SWING ARM BUDDY allows the average rider to fix the broken stud in approximately 10 minutes without the expense of a machine shop, normally required for this repair.

It comes with a high-speed hardened drill bit used to drill out the broken bolt. You then permanently insert the stainless steel threaded block. With threads replaced, a new adjustment bolt and lock can now be used. And because we use stainless steel, binding and seizing do not occur , so next time the bolt wears down, simply screw another one in. Its that simple.

NOTE: Because we are drilling out the broken bolt, the new bolt will have a larger head than the stock chain adjuster bolt. You will now use a 1/2" or 13mm socket instead of the stock 13/32" or 10mm socket

It comes in five distinct kits containing one 3/8" extractor drill bit and 1-5 special thread fittings. Instructions are also supplied.
These kits retail from $27 to $75 depending on the kit.

These kits are brand new, still in original packaging with manufacturer warranty. These are American made kits from a name you can trust- Pro-tek- a leader in the motorcycle industry for over 25 years.

Our laboratory focuses its activities on the study of drugs (with special emphasis on anti-infective drugs) in a broad context.

The Team
consists of approx. 20 scientists, 4 technicians, and students

Research activities include:
  • Laboratory Research examines the interactions between antiinfective agents (mainly antibiotics) and eucaryotic cells within a context of cellular and molecular pharmacology and toxicology. Disciplines and methodologies used span from Biophysics and Cellular and Molecular Biology to Morphology and Animal Trials.  New, original molecules are either designed and synthesized or screened from natural sources
    .
  • Clinical Research aims at improving the use of antibiotics in the hospital set-up, based usually but not exclusively on pharmacodynamic considerations and starting from original experimental research in this area.

Note: Clinical Pharmacy, launched in 2001, is now organized as the Centre for Clinical Pharmacy (with a research group part of the Louvain Drug Research Institute)

Educational activities are undertaken within the context of the the Information Center on Infective Pathology and Anti-infective Chemotherapy, the Séminaire de Pathologie Infectieuse, the Belgian Antibiotic Policy Coordination Committee, the Belgian Society of Infectiology and Clinical Microbiology, and the International society for Antiinfective Pharmacology.

Contract-based research and educational activities are undertaken in each of these areas.
